Baffled Birdie

This little Verdin doesn't seem to realize that there's a reason the feeder is sitting on the table: it's empty.  That isn't stopping him from being curious, though.  I think he doubted his original findings because he repeatedly returned; his hope never wavered.

Mom and I went to see The Post.  It was fabulous.  It's been a long time since I've been in a theatre when a movie has gotten applause at the end.  In fact, the ending was really awesome.  It's a must-see.
The tagline of The Washington Post is now "Democracy Dies in Darkness."   It was as true in the 70's as it is now.
