Better late than never . . .

I planted these prepared hyacinths with the idea that they would be in flower for Christmas, but it's taken them a bit longer.  They have an incredibly strong scent, a bit too powerful to have them in the sitting room, so they have been moved into the bathroom, where we spent less time!

A wet and really miserable day outside, lots of rain on the ice making it treacherous to walk on.  Mike and I spent all day sorting out what was going back into the spare room - now craft room/study etc.  It turned out to be really enjoyable, as we worked our way through box after box of paperwork, files, music and photos - lots of photos!  

Incredibly it all fits into the Mike made shelves too, and there is plenty of room for all my wool too!  We ended up with papers to shred, others to burn, stuff to go to the charity shop and a few bits and pieces which are going back into the loft!
