Brass Monkeys!
Slept heavily, a few coughs and splutters but not too bad!
As today was forecast the only dryish day other than Friday, we had decided to "get out" so although we were rather late gatering ourselves, we headed to Crosby, home to Anthony Gormleys Iron Men, at least it wouldn't be muddy underfoot on the promenade!!
We parked the car, amongst a dozen or so others who had had a similar idea, after all it was milder today. When we got out of the car it soon became apparent that it was anything but mild, especially with the wind, so on went the gloves, the hat, up went the hoods.
Im always happy to see the tide coming in and with the wind it was all rather choppy...... hopefully makes for better photos ;-)
We walked the full length of the prom to the Sailing Club and back, with a coffee and sandwich break in the Bistro inbetween.
14,000+ steps today :-)
I took loads of shots, but funnily enough we both settled on this one, that I snapped just as we were overtaking a group of ladies who were out braving the elements.....Ive added a couple of extras too, if you'd care to have a look.
We had to call in Lidl on the way home for a few bits.........but we were home before it was properly dark, around 4.30.
We have just had homemade Bolognese sauce with spicy chorizo and mushrooms over spaghetti for dinner.
Must say big thanks for all your well wishes lately, think Im getting there ;-)
