Light and dark

Passing through Chicago, and when I got in last night with thick fog/cloud/drizzle not only could I not see the lake, I could only just see the buildings across the street! This morning started off the same way (with added thunder and lightning), then this afternoon the sun gradually came out though the clouds over the lake stayed pretty dark and ominous.

Here are three very recognisable hotels that dominate my view - Harrison, Blackstone and Hilton - illuminated by the sunlight.
