Practical Metal

Metal this week, so I just might be on the lookout for rust!  
These four metal objects were on the kitchen counter this morning.  Two of them are normally in the cupboard, but I hadn't put the water bottle away from the other day when we went to Duncan, and I took the red kettle out yesterday to heat water on the wood stove when the power was out.  I couldn't get the lid off it so used a pot instead, and I left it out because G was going to try to pry the lid off. 
We replaced the toaster recently because our old one that had lasted for years wasn't working properly anymore.  I'm betting that this new one won't last as long as the old one did.
I like groups of four objects.  Four is an important number in the First Nations cultures I've worked with, and I think that's had a big influence on me.
