Elbows and I are off skiing tomorrow, on a tight budget - the apartment in The Alps is a freebie and it’s a gift from a ex-colleague of his.

Yippee-di-doo-da!!!

But we haven’t skied since our honeymoon - and as both of us were keen skiers, we had some kit ... somewhere.

But a good old rummage in bags pushed to the back and beyond resulted in ... little more than some ski socks and my old running spikes.

These are less useful than a chocolate teapot. And as far as vintage items go, they’re almost embarrassing. . :-)
