Feast!

I've walked past this quite a few times in the central gallery at the National Museum of Scotland, but only today did I stop to read the sign. It's a bowl from the Cook Islands. It holds up to 300 gallons and would have been used on feast days. As we approached it, my son and I were were debating how many people would fit in to it - it really is that BIG.

We'd gone to the gallery to do some sketching and have some offline time, but that plan didn't really work and I took lots of pics with a wee point and click camera.
