Beach family

We sometimes have these special extra-curricular events in the music group, and tonight was one of them: a screening on DVD of Alban Berg's opera Wozzeck. Six of us were there, and we watched an excellent made-for-TV production from the '70s of this not exactly jolly opera. Food and drink followed, and one of the guys gave me a lift home afterwards.

I was way too early, so had time to stop off at Sandymount on the way for a blip moment and even had time to meet up with my friend Niall who lives close to the opera venue and does lots of hostings for our Formula 1 GP lunches beforehand. It was a cold crisp day, but dry and reasonably pleasant: certainly nice enough for this family group to take a stroll along the beach.
