Repair Day

A lot of back and forth with IT in the morning to get the new phone working - but successful.
The weather was dreadful but I needed to get out to get
a. my phone screen
b. my nails
fixed.
I walked down Byres Road to check out the nail salon I had picked from their reviews and they were closed. I did not like the look of the shop too much so I was not too bothered.
I continued walking down the road to get to the phone repair shop. He said 50 GBP and 30 minutes. I was pleased with that as I expected more for the I-phone 6 + screen. Instead of waiting I went out to look for a nail place and popped into a place called "6 Rooms" where I bumped into Omar!! This was where Hair Police had moved to. I almost did not recognise hime. He had lost a lot of weight. He gave me the number of their Nail girl to make an appointment. When I walked back to the repair shop my phone was fixed. Really fast shop and not expensive I thought too.
I walked up to Waitrose and got what I needed for dinner, then pilgrimaged along Great Western Road to find a place that can fix my nails today. I popped in several places, mainly hair dressers who offered space for nail technicians, but only thing I got was more numbers to call.
I was never aware that there are so many options so close by. I guess you don't notice things when you are not looking for it.
Last try was a rather posh looking Beauty Salon pretty close to home and next to Black Pine Coffee. Here I got an appointment for 5:15 pm that suited me. The place looked good. Offering all kinds of high end beauty treatments. Quite impressive!
I walked back home and continued with work and set off at 5 pm again to my appointment. Adriana - a young Polish lady - did a fabulous job! I had a fun chat with her and the receptionist and left the salon 1.5 hrs later with beautiful dark green nails and an appointment for my brows on Thursday. It looks as I am sorted again for nails etc! Happy bunny me! And they are as close as Helaine's was, just the other direction from home!
Back home to work. Jack is down with the flu! Proper Type A flu as diagnosed by the doctor. Poor man. I ordered him to take his meds and go to bed. I hope he will do so. I need him fit and healthy next week.

My blip today is a different kind of "shop" that I noticed yesterday the first time. It reminds me of "Better Call Saul" when he had his office behind the foot spa!
If you look through the windows, (sorry you cannot see it inthe phot, but I couldn'd get close enough without being noticed) it looks like a junk shop with a desk in it! Dark, totally out of date and not tidied for years.
Funny enough, the website of this lawer is top notch!
