"More tea? Vicar?"

I went to great lengths to provide lunch for him. Homemade egg mayonnaise sandwiches - with cress. I'd baked a cake. I'd even dug out the vintage tea service -and washed it. I'd bought in Earl Grey tea too. Especially for the vicar.

Who didn't come.

Although to be fair. I hadn't invited him.
