A certain uncertainty

Andy was telling me that the second part of his maths prelim (though it's no longer officially a prelim) had seemed to go well.  But as he admitted, there was no way he could know for sure. 

I told him I'd been listening to an interview with a mathematician on the radio this morning. A specialist in category theory, it seemed to me there was no objective way to tell whether she was a complete genius or a bit of a bullshitter. 

Stella didn't have much to say on the subject.
