Old and new
Another glorious day not at work. Had a mooch around the British Museum. One of the reasons for visiting - apart, of course, from the wonderful collections we have plundered from conserved for the world - was to get a shot of the extraordinary main space.
Emerging from the new Members' Room after a coffee (and a very good lemon drizzle cake), the sun had moved to cast these amazing shadows from the roof, transforming the main atrium into something quite special. I was also struck by the juxtaposition of the neo-classical and modern architecture. Those architects really knew what they were doing!
