Only an orchid

Very, very windy this morning and by lunchtime it was also very, very wet ..... not a good day for taking my camera for a walk.

L and I did meet up in town and had a visit to The People's Palace .... a walk round the Winter Gardens glasshouse, coffee and then a wander round the museum.

When you remember many of the items from your own childhood you realise that you are not as young as you feel!  We shared the museum space with a class of very excited 7/8 year olds who were having such a good time looking at all the exhibits. I think the chamber pot under the chair in the tenement room was the highlight!

Not too many flowers in the glasshouse ..... I rather liked this orchid although some of the edges are showing signs of withering.
