Mara (in jail)

Mara trapped in the playpen for a few minutes today. She was being so happy as long as I sat on the other side of the playpen and talked to her. As long as someone is there, she was okay, but walk away and and she howled. Her mom thinks we should leave her alone occasionally for a minute so she can try and entertain herself, but it seems to me that my job as grandmother is to spoil her and so I rescued her promptly.

Today I am grateful for the day I was given, the baby and the rest of the family, including the baby's grandfather (my ex), who is teaching the baby how to disassemble my vacuum cleaner for no apparent reason.
