October Red

I think if months were to be given colours, October's would be red. It is really coming through now; it is as if tired, worn out leaves are giving a final flourish to their ungrateful hosts who will soon discard them.

But there is red in our harvest too so a blip of our greenhouse harvest seemed appropriate. I took them outside to benefit from the light and the rain wanted to get into the act which I think was entirely appropriate given how dominant the rain has been lately in our weather. I just imagine some of our summer sun has been captured in the bowl.

We have had a good tomato harvest though plenty of green ones left. Might given chutney a bash. Might be a future blip in that.
