Summer Sunshine
The sunshine here is fierce. The depleted ozone layer, coupled with the lack of air pollution make it much stronger than in a lot of places. Some plants can’t cope, such as this newly opened Anemone, burned around the edges. My bean plants are suffering too. They fold their leaves and wilt no matter how much water I give them. That makes the beans rather dry. I picked a lot today to turn into purée for winter soup.
Today there was thin cloud that lightly filtered the sunshine, but the temperature still made it past 30ºC. Like my garden I am feeling wilted and curled around the edges.
