Fabric samples

Vanessa Arbuthnot is a Cotswolds based designer who prints her designs on certified organic cotton combined with eco- friendly flax to create the linen union used for all her fabrics.
It is not cheap at £50 a metre, although the samples I blipped were in the sale at £25 per metre.

We first came across her designs when visiting the last remaining mill in Wales to weave rugs. She sells their 100% British wool rugs.

Her fabrics are beautiful to feel and wonderful to look at. I have only used them for small items such as cushions, but i have an armchair which would look great recovered in one of these fabrics.

Vanessa Arbuthnot has a very strong and committed ethical and environmental ethos. Her website is worth looking at. I have yet to visit her shop in Cirencester.
