Stonechat at El Hondo

Today it was extremely windy but we went out to El Hondo Nature Reserve anyway to meet up with our friend who lives here. At one of the hides some locals had put a handy perching pole, with small feeding tray underneath to attract the birds (the tray being supplied with a cup of mealworms on a long pole). This Stonechat was the only bird to come to the feeding station but despite being whipped about all over the place by the wind was close enough for a photograph.
It was too windy to eat outside so the picnic I prepared will be tonight's evening meal and instead we went to a local bar for lunch.
