Looking Upwards
We had no problems on our journey to Glasgow yesterday, and enjoyed an evening of splendid music - Fiddlers' Bid from Shetland, and Frigg from Finland, separately and together, full of fire and fun! Tonight it's an Irish band, should be interesting to compare!
Today I had my first ride on the 'Clockwork Orange' - the Glasgow subway. It's lovely - like an underground miniature railway!
The picture is taken in the Kibble Palace, in the Botanic Gardens. It's an elaborate Victorian glasshouse, gifted to the the citizens of Glasgow by a rather eccentric philanthropist and it houses a collection of tree ferns, which flourish in the man-made tropical environment.
I hope this shot might fit the brief for this week's Experimental Photography challenge - using only a few elements like lines and textures to compose a minimalist image. Thanks to Marcus Hediger for setting and hosting the challenge.
