Louie spent a day in Edinburgh today with my mum. When I arrived to pick him up we took him for a quick walk round the block before dinner. There were loads of people around and I was a bit worried about the inevitable jumping up on strangers or worse a small child...

I needn't have worried - everyone we met knew him already (!?!) and came up to him saying "Hi Louie, how you doing" etc. I couldn't believe it - I lived in this area for 3 years and you are lucky if somebody speaks to you. One day, a few walks, and he's turned a reasonably gritty suburb of Edinburgh into a scene from a Disney movie...
