Melting

Yesterday I drove over kilometers of melted tarseal. Today hasn't been as hot as yesterday but still hot enough to melt the usual suspect corners and intersections. Somehow the cooler southerly air in the evening hasn't markedly cooled the house.

Dad and I had our usual chat. He chooses carefully where to put what energy he has each day.

Today's gratitude: For the sense of mastery I felt today as I made decisions at work.
