Portrait of the Artist as an Old Man

Lunchtime work art club took advantage of the sunny skies to head outdoors. The four of us all kind of scattered to differing views after walking to our destination, and I went for the geometry of the railway station (in the extras). Still just a superb way to spend a Friday lunchtime. Clears the head perfectly.

On the bike again today - the legs remarkably okay this morning after the commute + turbo session of yesterday. Maybe I'm getting somewhere. Just something else to clear the head. I cannot over-exaggerate how good it is to be back on the 'real' bike, even with the first bit of bad driving I've encountered since doing so.

TV conked out today. It was funny phoning up about the guarantee, and getting asked "so do you have another TV you can use in the meantime?". Answering in the negative seemed to put us into the 'urgent' bracket, so an engineer (complete with courtesy TV) will be out on Monday. I've shifted the monitor I hook up to the laptop through to the living room in the meantime so we can stream, but it does seem we're an oddity by not wanting (and therefore having) a telly in either the bedroom or the kitchen.

If there was a choice between being without a TV, and not being able to get out on the bike on the road, there's an easy winner there (much as I like TV).
