This "waterfall" was part of the swimming pool set up at BP Beach Camp Club, used for all the social activities of the expats.
The waterfall fed the children's paddling pool and the water then flowed into the main swimming pool.
The facility exists to this day as does quite unbelievably, the waterfall and the pools. Run by one of the successors of BP, Petrotrin (Petroleum Trinidad) and I have contacted them and will send the photos.
Here a link to a short video of the cluband the paddling pool is just out of shot. Nothing seems to have changed in nearly 60 years!
