The poet's room
The First World War poet Wilfred Owen, was stationed in Scarborough on home duty, after witnessing the horrors of war, and returning to England to recover, staying in the top room of the Clifton Hotel, overlooking the North Bay.
Tonight, while driving to a job on late shift for the paper, I noticed the light was on in this room in the hotel. With the looming dark clouds at twilight, it could have been as if Owen had returned...
A lucky blip found, as I had shot little else today.
