Trying to Melt

My SIL was supposed to meet me for a photo walk but she wasn't feeling well and it was really frigid with the clouds and wind.  But I was already at the ponds waiting for her so I decided to take a quick walk.  The waterfall that is usually frozen has melted quite a bit in the past few weeks.  I thought it was interesting that these icicles have been melting but their drips have formed little floating piles of ice on the water.  Stalagmites?  ;-)

I am grateful that we were able to have hot showers this morning and the water heater leak is no worse.
