Film night!

A lovely mild, dry and sunny day today. It would have been a nice day for a walk outside, but I decided I really needed to get to the gym. In the afternoon I got a few overdue jobs done at home, then in the evening we went out for some Mexican food down in Clifton, followed by the film Phantom Thread at Mariemont Theatre, one of our smaller independent theaters. The film, which has 6 Academy Awards nominations, is set in 1950's London, where Reynolds Woodcock is a renowned dressmaker whose fastidious life is disrupted by a young, strong-willed woman, Alma, who becomes his muse and lover.
