The difference two weeks makes

I've been photographing this old dead tree for probably ten years; I've always found its folded and gnarled form a fascinating subject. Well, no more. Out today for a walk, the spring-like atmosphere was suddenly broken when this came into sight. It looks like time has finally worn it down, and it's fallen over. Sad, but I suppose it's just part of the cycle. The top picture is how it was two weeks ago
