The old and .....

..... the new!!
Top left a cottage how it would have looked, top right how it is now with modern buildings behind , this ground would have belonged to this cottage originally with maybe a farm attached ?
Bottom left shows the lovely old village school ( 1825 ) , how wonderful to still be able to attend such as small school ( but a few yards down the road is another one , it was built to Cater for the increased population!! ) bottom right shows it with the new buildings at the back, maybe one is a part of the school now I'm not sure. ( when the Rev had his decorating firm going the painting inside was one of his assignments and "O" helped doing it.)
In the centre you can see The White House said to be the oldest in Sanderstead U K. What a shame things have to alter and not always for the best.
It has been such a dull day, I think the best part was at 7.30am when I went out to church. However we did manage a short walk before it got too dark, the cloud is so low and grey.
