Stand-By

Walking for a few miles over Crabtree Hill, back over my old stomping ground I was lucky in some respects that I saw the Great Grey Shrike who was determined not to play ball. 

Quiet eerie in the forest with hardly anyone around carrying camera and lens that I weighed last night as 26lbs. I was really hoping for a better close up shot than this - see Extra but it was lovely to get out and about.

My blip is one of the Hawfinches at Parkend which every birder for miles I am sure must have been to suss out but I went there anyway again to get a stand-by blip shot. Glad I did!
