Waiting...
It was blissfully mild when we got up this morning, with a thick fog draping the trees. After a quick breakfast, I grabbed my camera and when to the nearby state park to shoot some foggy shots. There is something about fog that really appeals to me - it makes the mundane seem magical, the familiar seem exotic.
This particular spot is a favorite of mine for photos because there is that touch of human element with the picnic table and grill. It always makes me feel like its just waiting for someone to stroll in and sit. And do you know - I've never seen anyone sit at this particular picnic table...
Anyway, I decided to give it a pass through Silver Efex Pro and liked the results. The original, if you'd care to compare, is in Extra in living color. This is one of the rare times when I prefer monotone to color.
House Finches were singing up a storm this morning - so nice to hear birdsong in the middle of winter. The finches are always the first to break into song and the males sing a long and fairly complex melody.
Hubs has gone to get MIL and tonight I'll be doing a turkey meatloaf in the instant pot pressure cooker. Some roasted veggies and a salad on the side.
I'm going to sneak out for a little bit this afternoon and put down the seeds in the garden. I ended up not doing it yesterday so really need to get it done before the next cold spell arrivesin a couple of days.
Happy Sunday...
