British Museum: Amitābha Buddha

More finite light in large.

The Amitābha Buddha (the Buddha of Infinate Light) was originally from northern China, dated to the 6th Century; it's almost 6m tall, and now stands in the central well of the northern staircase of the British Museum. I could have used a more generous dose of its infinite light for my photo...
We went up and down this staircase more than once on our rather circuitous way to see the "Pots with Attitude" exhibition of Georgian era ceramics transfer-printed with political and satirical images.

My extra shows the bustle in the Great Court.
