I ventured out today without mishap, so things are looking up.
I treated myself to an illuminated salt crystal from Lidl - supposed to emit positive ions into the atmosphere, counteracting negative ones from electrical items. I'm not entirely convinced, and I fear the bulb that powers it is environmentally shocking, but it does give a very relaxing glow (a bit like Dounreay).
