Swanning around.
The morning started grey and wet. But by 10.30 it felt like Spring with warming sun and blue sky.
A delightful couple of hours at the nearest National Trust property to home. Sizergh Castle. Over the past ten years the Trust has done a great job on the gardens and grounds. There is a new Stumpery full of ferns and fungi and today a new footpath over a hill full of snowdrops and winter aconites already in flower.
All rounded off with a good lunch in the NT cafe.
