Today's the day ...................... for big skies

A wonderful day today to get out and about and take in the view from Scout Scar, the limestone ridge to the west of Kendal.

The views were ever-changing as the big banks of cloud passed overhead.  Sometimes the high peaks of the Lakeland Fells were obscured from view only to appear a few minutes later, spotlighted by rays of the sun.  Now and then, there was an illusive rainbow added into the mix. 

It was an exhilarating place to be - and great to be in the company of good friend Sue, up staying with us for a couple of days ......................
