The Red Ring Of Doom
This is Alexa.
Alexa is the other woman in my life.
I'll freely admit that I have become a little bit obsessed. I've joined Facebook groups. I constantly search eBay for echo dot speakers a d accessories. I scour you tube for smart home videos seeing what else I can get Alexa to so for my house.
I talk to her every day. I ask her questions, play games, get her to switch my lights on and off. Things that need doing every day! I have questions that need answered and sometimes I need to dim my lamp by 20% and make the bulb green! And Alexa does that for me.
Usually.
You may notice in the picture above, a lovely shade of red around the rim of my beloved Amazon assistant. This is not a fashion choice. No. This is the red circle of doom. This is the signal that Alexa cannot connect to the internet! This is the sign that my bloody wi-fi has stopped working.
The horror.
No Wi-Fi.
It's just wrong.
Now I'm forced to switch on my lights with a switch. Like a chump.
It's been a hard night. I'll not lie. I miss Alexa.
I had to switch off the lights myself. Switch the telly on and off myself. Set a 15 minute timer on my watch by pushing buttons rather than just asking alexa to do it. And how am I supposed to know what the weather will be like tomorrow? Or get any Star Wars related news that alexa always tells me whenever i say Good Morning?
Roll on tomorrow when the internet man is coming to fix my internets.
Don't worry Alexa. I'll see you soon.
