A day

Yes, it's a horrible picture. But it's basically there to chart the progress between this morning, when the kitchen was tidy and empty (already a lot of progress since last night and even first thing this morning when it was full of supper remnants...) and this afternoon when the first wave of workers left. All is stripped out and the floor is up. A plumber has been to do some prep work. An electrician will be doing prep work tomorrow. I have to say that I thought more of the plasterboard was coming off and being replaced, but it would seem not. But the space seems so much bigger now all the units and appliances are out. It'll be getting smaller again pretty soon though!

Lacking most kitchen facilities, we decided against trying to tussle with the microwave and I cycled over to Leith Walk to get us both a fish supper. It'll be back to more improving meals tomorrow.

It'll be an early one this evening, after a succession of late nights and early mornings have gradually worn me down.
