Big boy bed

I don't like it :(( so used to have him so close. This feels too separate ..but the Next To Me was in danger of creaking under my little chubs as it's only up to 6 months.
On a practical note it's much harder to lift him out & I can't reach out & put my hand on his tummy. Feels horrible. :((
