Fast work

The gasturbine combustionstate is monitored by 31 thermocouples which measure the exhaust gas temperature.
When a burner is damaged and does not burn properly, the temperature of the corresponding thermocouples is different from the rest.
By a (now automated) tool we can see which of the 18 burners is not working well.
When two couples next to each other are defective the gasturbine "trips" that will say that is automatically shut down.....
So it is very important that a defective couple is replaced by a new one!
So here we see Eddy and Tinus doing their best to finish the job during planned standstill of the unit.
Normally we are wearing helmets when we are in the units (safety) but under the gasturbine it is a bit narrow and a bit inconvenient.
