Printer
This morning I went to use my printer only to discover that it would not work or photocopy. A few checks proved that the fault was in the printer itself, so I took the printer apart, cleaned out all the debris, remade most of the connections and put it back together again. It now prints and photocopies perfectly well. This picture is of a photocopy of a block diagram emerging from the printer. This was time consuming, but nevertheless fairly satisfying and it avoided a trip out to buy a new printer.
The other problem that we have had today and which has developed progressively over a period of several months is an Internet connection problem, which was not internal to us and has now been partly resolved by the providers. Our broadband connection speed had gradually decreased until it was less than 50Kb/s, which was slower than the old dial up phone connection. We now need to wait and see if the problem continues to develop or has been permanently resolved.
