Photogenic Mockingbird
The sun was out this morning so I didn't want to miss a chance to get some bird shots. It was also very cold, but my hand and toe warmers did the trick. My most exciting find was a Golden-crowned Kinglet. Wow, it was fast. I must have taken 400 shots of that tiny bird as it hopped and fluttered from one branch to another. I'm going to place a photo in extras, even if the quality is poor, to document the experience. On the other hand, this Northern Mockingbird was content to sit in the sun, turn from side to side, and watch me as I captured her from all angles.
Thank you for your positive support for my other recent bird blips. I love the double challenge - first to find them, then to hope my camera settings are right!
