ONZELIEVEHEERSBEESTJE

is the name of the ladybird in dutch language, of the family of coccinellidae.
Today is the Ladybirdday obviously. After the lightrail and the five other different trains, (we left home at 6. 35 am) we arrived in lovely sunny weather in the Weser Uplands. Sitting outside, tired but satisfied that everything went smoothly, the ladybirds came and walked the wall and ran and ran and flew away suddenly.
They came back and ran and ran and flew away. Was there a message for us.
For me there was, take pictures was the message, not an easy task anyway. But I waited till Mischa was home from work to help pick one from flickr.
I sometimes am so involved in all the different pictures and some have certain sentimental notions attached to them that I am glad Piet Hein and Mischa show me the way.
During our travel I heard in my mind the question where do our values come from. Raised as a catholic youth the answers were there, simply as that, some were given by God him/herself and some by very clever and learned, experienced and pious men/women too. I simply understood that at some point the question shoud arise reading the proverbs every day it somehow started me to think that what I always or nearly always had taken for granted were man/womanmade issues.
If that being the case is it not high time, at least for me, to consider more intensely what my values are and why?
Of course without knowing it I had already done that during all the years but perhaps not so explicitely as I want to do now.
Onzelieveheersbeestjes means Our Lord (Onze lieve heer) beestjes = tiny animals literally.
The colours of the trees I haste to tell are so beautiful, we are so happy to be part of their changing colours.

My haiku:

They run, they fly too
We came nor running nor flying
By railroad we slided (or glided)

And the proverb from Emerson:

God screens us evermore from premature ideas.
