Ultra Close-up Leaf

A friend mentioned that if I attached extension tubes to my 35mm 1:1 macro I would get a higher magnification - so tonight I gave it a try.  The challenge myself further, I decided to make a lightbox, based on instructions found on the internet.

I took a dead leaf from my dying Christmas poinsetta as a subject. The  results are not perfect, but the technique has highlighted the tiny hairs which seem to be present on the leaf. Hopefully, this is also abstract enough for Ingeborg's Abstract Thursday!
