RED CAP GUM
....Illyarria (Eucalyptus erythrocorys). The red caps on the flower before they open give rise to the common name of red cap gum.
These flowers are beautiful with the red caps popping off everywhere.
It was very warm while I was out taking this shot for today's challenge. Only 30c was the temperature, with the humidity it felt more like 40c.
I'm not a big fan of yellow flowers but I find these especially beautiful with the red caps and lovely shaped eucalyptus leaves that hang down and want to be photographed.
Thank you to BikerBear for hosting the challenge.
Have a wonderful weekend everyone. Where has the week gone.
