Garthamlock & Craigend Water Towers

The Garthamlock Water tower is the largest (and second tallest) in Britain with a capacity of around a million gallons (4.5 million litres). Water is pumped to it from Loch Katrine.
Prominent landmarks in this part off the city they had to be at a high level location to use gravity to increase water pressure.
