St Ann's

After a delightful sunny day yesterday, the rubbish weather was back with a vengeance this morning. Typical as I had planned to head up to Winter Hill to get some early shots. Never mind, option B was as normal, get in the car and drive. Passed through Prescot/Rainhill and spotted a police station sign, which was crying out to be snapped (see extra). Had to drive on to get a parking place and luckily spotted the unusual church tower. It is St Ann's Church Rainhill. Grade ll listed building, consecrated in 1839. Graveyard is now closed, but has many fascinating stones, which may provide some interesting viewing in the spring.
