The Perfect Day

We are now at Lalibela Game Reserve in the Eastern Cape Outback of South Africa having driven the 200 miles from Plattenberg Bay this morning to arrive lunchtime.

At 4.30pm we set of on our first game reserve tour on the look out for Buffalo and after an hour we found a few relaxing in the last of the sun. (see main blipfoto of a male Buffalo)

My son was briefed to keep me updated by text message of the Leeds V Cardiff City football game. The goals were going in thick and fast and my phone was pinging away. A great away result with Cardiff winning 4-1!!

We tracked a male and female Lion who were going in for the kill on an Impala but the male mucked it up.........it's the female's that normally hunt and my blip extra shows the Lioness heading towards me as she kept an eye on the prey.

We're in a stunning apartment. Great company, food, sights, sounds and the smell of Africa. A dream come true. A perfect end to the day!
