A trip back in time.

Today I visited the Birmingham Back to Backs with my daughters and future son-in-law. The Back to Backs are the last surviving court of back to back houses; these are houses literally built back to back around a communal court. We went on a guided tour starting in the 1840s and moving through to the 1970s learning about the lives of some of the former residents in the houses which had been restored to how the residents would have lived during these times it was really interesting and before leaving we paid a visit to the 1930s sweet shop to buy some sweets we all enjoyed our day.
