A Day on the Carnedds

Inspired by Thursday evening's presentation by Jon and Sue Baker of their landscape photographs, I set out early(ish) for the Carnedds. Yesterday had been foul weather with heavy driving rain, but we started out with blue skies and there was still plenty of snow around and a hard frost. Above 2000 feet we were walking in thick snow with a crust of ice over the surface ,through which our boots crunched. Towards the top there was a white-out and the temperature was -4, ("feels" like -12). We decided to shorten our circuit and make our way back to the car. A lovely day on the hills. Thank you Jon and Sue!
