Fornet

My favourite on previous years has been the run from 3450m at the Grand Motte glacier but the big cable car is closed for repair this year. So today we headed up to the solaise and over the spectacular if somewhat terrifying up and over chair that goes over the ridge into Fornet area. Then up the col de l’Iseran and onto the glacier du pissaillas. Its not quite as high (or steep) here as the grand motte but had a charm of its own. It feels like we have the whole area to ourselves and is a fantastic day.
