View of the Dropt valley

This is a view taken whilst doing my normal walk in France.
There is a steep descent, about a quarter of the way down is this view from a corner. The walk goes into the valley and then up into the hamlet of Llandusse.
Walking the circuit this way round means the steepest section is at the beginning and is downhill.
The disadvantage is that half way round is a house with a pack of hunting dogs that sometimes run out at passers-by. So if I am feeling cowardly I just walk down the steep section and then back up again. A bit like the Grand Old Duke of York’s men in reverse!

If I do make it past the dogs there is a farm I think of as Old Macdonald’s, as there is a field, with chickens, ducks, geese, guinea fowl, sheep etc all together.

And then the long but gentler ascent to Llandusse.
